Despite starting with noticeable declines yesterday, cryptocurrencies showed an impressive recovery over the last 24 hours.

London-listed companies with strong links to Russia pulled the UK100 (-2.26%) deep into the red yesterday. Investors sold out of the Anglo-Russian embossing workers Polymetal International (-36.07%) and Evraz (-30.28%) in droves, making them the index's worst performers.

The US markets were able to post new gains. SPX500 (+ 1.28%), NASDAQ100 (+ 3.13%) and DJ30 (+ 0.03%) all climbed higher.

Top kryptoer

Bitcoin rose more than 10% at the time of writing, along with 6 other top 10 cryptocurrencies that recorded gains of 8% or more. The latest increase can be attributed to sanctions against Russia announced by US President Biden, which include restricting the use of several major fiat currencies.

Terra is the biggest winner among the best cryptocurrencies, with an increase of 23% today. It is on the rise in news trading with the LUNA pair, which has opened on Bittrex, among others.

Top movers

All top 100 coins are in the green. Anchor Protocol is a "standout" with 23%. Phantom rose 15% and Maker rose 19%, reversing yesterday's significant loss. Gala also got 15%. Amp and Arweave have increased 18%. Theta Fuel rose 14%.

Neo and Zcash have both increased by about 13%. Zcash is about to break $ 100. Convex Finance, yesterday's biggest loser, recovered 17% of its losses today.
