With 16 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Phil Hoey is a seasoned editor and financial analyst who serves as Director of CoinJournal.

After graduating with an MA from the University of Aberdeen, Phil began his career in the City of London in 2006, where he qualified as a financial analyst. He provided financial commentary to leading publications like Reuters, The Guardian, The Times, The Telegraph, International Business Times, The Scotsman, Yahoo! Finance, The Business Recorder, and The Daily Express.

Prior to joining CoinJournal Phil spent six years as Editor of Quotezone.co.uk, where he wrote and edited thousands of pieces of financial content, covering a wide range of topics from insurance and investments to cryptocurrency and banking.

Phil is a Member of the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF), an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Journalists (CIoJ), and a Fellow of the Institute of Data & Marketing (IDM).
