CoinFestUK is once again taking place this April in Manchester, and CoinJournal is proud to announce that it will be its main media partner.
Founded in 2013 by bitcoin advocate Andrew Wagner at a Waves Coffee House in Vancouver, CoinFest has since grown from attracting a gathering of 100 bitcoin enthusiasts to spreading internationally.
In 2016, CoinFest was brought to the U.K. for the first time by CrytoBatesGroup. Hosted and organised by Adam Rizvi in Manchester, it attracted over 200 people to the event. In 2017, CoinFestUK was well received, hosting five workshops, 20 speakers, and 12 exhibitions with visitors from around the world.
Now with 2018 underway CoinFestUK is keen to maximise on the success of last year. This year’s event will be taking place at the Manchester Conference Centre from the 5-7th April where it will be hosting a diverse range of speakers and exhibitions.
Free workshops will be on offer at the event, ranging from Bitcoin for beginners, hardware wallet workshops, and trading and ethereum workshops. The workshops will be hosted by Portsmouth Crypto, InspiringCoUK, ColmoreFX, Glynn Bird, and Blockchain Manchester. Exhibitors to keep an eye out for include Mue, Ethbits, Crown, MyHardwareWallet, and BlockChainers to name, but a few. Additional workshops and exhibitions are still to be confirmed.
With a full schedule expected over the three-day event, speakers from around the world will be covering a range of topics. Some of those that will be at CoinFestUK include Theo Goodman, Crown Team, BitcoinRat, Matthew Rodbourne, William Hern, and Biyan Mienert.
In between workshops and listening to speakers, there will also be activities going on at the event. These include the cash grabber, a photo booth, and a free event raffle. Secret activities will also be announced; however, attendees won’t find these out until the event. There will be entertainment throughout the event with appearances from the BitcoinRat and the CryptoRaptor.
Following feedback from their 2017 CryptoArtGallery event, CoinFestUK are bringing art to this year’s conference. One of the artists that will be displaying their work is the Lynx Art Collection, who will be showcasing limited bitcoin work in print and canvas mediums.
Whether you’re a newbie to the crypto world or an avid enthusiast, CoinFestUK will have something on offer for everyone.
Sponsors at the event are Ethbits, Monetaryunit, BitCore, Crown, MyHardwareWallet, BittyBot, XGOX, InspiringCo, MyBit.io, and CoinCorner. The headline sponsor is Ethbits. Media partners include OptionMag, BlockOnomi, BraveNewCoin, BTCManager, and EventChain.
Profits from all CoinFestUK events will go toward the We Love Manchester fund.
Free tickets can be reserved on the conference website and all holders will automatically be entered into a free raffle.
