The start of CoinFestUK is quickly approaching, but for those who can’t wait to see what’s to come CoinJournal is excited to provide some information at what’s set to be an amazing fully-packed three-day event.
For the second year running CoinFestUK will be hitting the streets of Manchester where it’s hoping to maximise on the success it had last year. Taking place between the 5th-7th April at the Manchester Conference Centre, the event has a schedule packed with speakers, workshops, and exhibitions.
On Thursday, from 10:30 until 21:15, visitors will be able to listen to the likes of Theo Goodman, bitcoin consultant, talk about Crypto Art – FOMO or F*ck It? or Phasebox.io, a platform that aims to change how the music industry works, which will talk about the future of the blockchain in the music industry. Whereas, Beyond the Void will be speaking as it focuses on Gaming on Ethereum. Blockchain Manchester will be hosting a workshop which will show how to mint an ERC20 ‘CoinFestUK’ token on the ethereum blockchain; Portsmouth Crypto will inform visitors on bitcoin basics; and Colmore FX, will teach visitors how to trade cryptocurrency. Entertainment on Thursday will be conducted by CryptoRaptor to close the first day of the conference.
Friday will start at 09:30 and will kick off with a talk from author William Hern, who will be talking about The Mysteries of Satoshi Nakamoto. EthBits, a platform that provides users with who to follow will discuss market manipulation and copy trading. Whereas, Dr. Dominik Thor, CEO of IPChain Database, will be focusing on how the protection of intellectual property can be revolutionised through the use of the blockchain. One of the workshops on Friday will be from Glynn Bird will be providing an introduction to the blockchain smart contracts and distributed databases. BitcoinRat will provide entertainment to bring Friday to a close.
On Thursday and Friday there will also be an international Google hangout space with CoinFests around the world.
Saturday’s discussions will be from Biyan Mienert who will talk about cryptocurrency regulations; Mohamed EL KANDR will be focusing on solving scalability issues to enable blockchain enterprise applications, and Glen Goodman will inform listeners on how they can make money trading cryptocurrency. The event is expected to finish at 18:30.
Exhibitors to keep an eye out for include EthBits, Crown, MyHardwareWallet, Beyond the Void, Colmore FX, and BlockChainers, to name a few.
Aside from the wealth of information that will be on offer during the talks and exhibitions, there will also be fun activities to take part in during the event. The CashGrabber will involve entering a wind tunnel to grab some custom gold and silver BTC notes. The highest score of the day will win a crypto prize.
Guess the Combination will see every ticket holder guessing the six-digit combination to a safe in order to win a prize. If no one guesses correctly by the end of the day, the closest wins. For those who haven’t taken photos in a photobooth before, the crypto-themed photobooth at the event is one place visitors should stop. Backdrops will feature those from around the crypto space including artwork from bitcoinshirt.co and CryptoBatesGroup.
Whether you’re a newbie to the crypto world or an avid enthusiast CoinFestUK is set to be an educational and fun-packed three days.
